“For generations, Richardson was regarded internationally as a high-revving economic engine, driving full speed ahead with innovations in technology, telecommunications, medical, and entrepreneurship. Our success attracted high-paying, in-demand careers for working families throughout our city.
Richardson stood for something great, and these triumphs were the outcome.
But lately, decisions at City Hall suggest that our elected leaders have lost their way and are seemingly more interested in approving thousands of new apartments on behalf of wealthy, high-density developers. This unacceptable status quo continues without hesitation by our Mayor and Council.
Today, we must renew our great city by letting go of this stale, business-as-usual approach our current leaders stubbornly cling to. This starts with recommitting to new and smarter policies that recharge our prosperity, strengthen neighborhoods, and protect taxpayers. Our families and entrepreneurs are on board, but the question remains – are our Mayor and Councilmembers willing to listen to the growing demand for positive change?
Meeting our full potential as a city requires new vision and energy to revitalize our economy and recommit to better city services, including better roads, parks, and public safety.”
